Visit the Vatican City and be engulfed by the magnificent treasures of the Vatican Museums and Galleries. FLORENCE
By train travel north to Florence, the "Cradle of the Italian Renaissance." Sightseeing highlights many of this city¹s priceless treasures including the Academy of Fine Arts and magnificent "David" by Michelangelo, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria and the breathtaking view from Piazzale Michelangelo; then Giotto's Campanile, and the majestic Cathedral and Baptistery with its renowned bronze doors by Ghiberti.

POMPEII AND NAPLES
Journey southward passing the Abbey of Montecassino, completely rebuilt after its total destruction in the Second World War. Visit Pompeii, the ruined city dug out from the ashes rained on it by proud Vesuvius in the year 79 A.D. The resulting ash and pumice effectively froze time until the ruins were discovered in the 17th century. Return to Rome through the city of Naples ­ the birthplace of Caruso and Sophia Loren ­ and said to be where spaghetti was first made!
